Ash Wednesday Service
Our Ash Wednesday service will be held in the sanctuary on Wednesday, March 2nd at 7pm. This is a relatively brief service that welcomes in the solemn season of Lent (which, in turn, will carry us through to Easter). The service will consist of prayers, readings, a call to Lenten discipline, and an imposition of ashes (for those who choose). Please join us in person for this service as we renew our commitments to God and our faith community.
Peaceful Pause & Prayer Returns!
Dale will resume doing his bi-weekly 'Peaceful Pause and Prayer' online meditations on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 8 am beginning Tuesday, March 1st. Each meditation provides moments for reflection, music, scripture, and silence. They can be watched on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bccucc or on the livestream page of our website at https://bccucc.org/live-stream-2/ and will remain available for later viewing on both platforms if you can't watch live.
No worship service on Sun, Jan 30
The worship service on Sunday, January 30th has been cancelled due to the snowstorm. There will be neither in-person nor virtual worship. Instead we invite you to watch one of the many videos of our previous worship services. Christmas Eve Services
We invite you to worship with us..... 4 - 5 pm Christmas Story Stroll: Barrington Congregational Church UCC is taking it outside! This year’s Christmas pageant will look a little different. The Christmas Story Stroll will take place outdoors. Guest are invited to walk through the Christmas Story in a family friendly and safe way. Trunk or Treat 2021
On Sunday, October 31st we hosted our 2021 Trunk or Treat following the worship service. The weather was perfect and in addition to the congregation, we had many visitors from the community bring their children to trick-or-treat the trunks. A big thank you to everyone who decorated their vehicle’s trunk and provided ‘treats’ for the Trick or Treaters. Thanks also to everyone who came to worship dressed in costume. Help needed for Afghan refugees
Dorcas International is asking us to help them in welcoming refugees from Afghanistan who have fled the upheaval and suffering there, and are seeking to resettle and build a life in Rhode Island. Most who fled Afghanistan arrive with almost nothing but the clothes on their back. Trunk or Treat Returns!
It’s that time of year for costumes and treats! Our annual TRUNK OR TREAT will be on Sunday, October 31st right after church around 11:30 a.m. in the parking lot. We are inviting the community to join us this year for the fun and therefore we need your help to bring on the BOO factor! Please consider decorating your car (and maybe wearing a costume) in a kid friendly way. Then handing out treats to those in costume. BCCUCC Celebrates Open Doors Sunday!
This past Sunday we welcomed a nearly full (within COVID guidelines) sanctuary. It was amazing to see so many folks whom we haven't seen in over 19 months!
