Once again, BCCUCC and the Mission & Justice Team are partnering with TAPIN to support their Thanksgiving food drive. Last year, BCCUCC provided 40 bags of food for this meaningful project. Those bags were used to help TAPIN feed over 700 families who needed assistance during the holiday! This year, the need has increased substantially.
Shauna Hyde, President of TAPIN joined us on Sunday, October 8, to share a Moment of Mission about this year’s Thanksgiving food drive and how our ministry helps TAPIN with their work.
We have 100 brown paper bags (labeled with the Thanksgiving food list) to distribute to anyone who would like to contribute. Simply take a bag, add the requested food to it and bring the filled bags back to church on Sundays, October 15, 22, or 29. Bags will be brought up during the Offertory or before services begin and will be blessed on Sunday, October 29 during the worship service. Bags will then be delivered to TAPIN on November 1 to fill their shelves well in advance of Thanksgiving.
