Dear Church Friends,
Due to the high winds, rain and potential for flooding and blackouts, we are canceling Sunday morning worship service for tomorrow, Sept. 27th. Fortuitously, the Conference is offering a live stream service of the special worship service they are doing for our Conference Annual Meeting in Worcester with a very special guest: Rev. Dr. Raphael Warnock, pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church of Atlanta and junior US Senator of Georgia. He is the first black person to be elected to the Senate from Georgia. He was the keynote speaker earlier this weekend and is the preacher for Sunday’s worship service. The service is at 9:45 a.m. and can be accessed at this link.
Loaves and Fishes is also canceled for tomorrow morning, as is the Barrington Art Festival. On Open Doors Sunday, I preached on Noah and the flood for us to have torrential rains pour down during and after service. Two weeks later we have yet another storm, this one severe enough to warrant closing our church building. If I have invited any wrath from above, I repent and apologize for my role. I look forward to reconvening on Oct. 4th for World Communion Sunday, God willing.
Yours in Christ,
Rev. Joe
